ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF COMMUNICATION
PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY
The Communication Division at the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University invites applications for tenure-track appointment as an assistant professor in Communication. The successful candidate will teach four or five sections of our foundational general education course “Public Speaking and Rhetorical Analysis” annually, with occasional opportunities to teach in other specialty areas. An emphasis on innovative teaching is highly desirable, as is skill at assessment. An established research record in rhetoric or a related field is also required. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. by August 1, 2017 when the position officially begins.
Pepperdine’s undergraduate Seaver College is a residential liberal arts college of just over 3,400 students situated in Malibu, Calif.
