The Department of Communication & Visual Arts at Grove City College invites applications for an open rank professor in Communication Studies, beginning Fall 2018.
The department seeks a candidate to teach foundational and advanced media production courses in one or more of the following areas: film/TV production, digital photography, multimedia storytelling, and mobile media. The candidate must possess thorough knowledge and working experience with various editing software and Adobe Creative Suite; documented teaching experience or evidence of excellent teaching potential; and experience supervising and mentoring undergraduate students and their projects.
An M.A., MFA or Ph.D. in communication or a related field and professional media experience is required. Applicants nearing completion of degree will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who can provide students with experiential learning opportunities so that they can thrive in today’s multimedia landscape.
