Description: In Romans 12:2, the Apostle Paul was a great teacher who produced an impressive range of scholarship seen by billions of students. In these instructions to his students, he suggests the incredible possibility and even necessity of transformation. In the same way the great teacher Paul transformed the ancient world, the 21st century public university is similarly ripe for transformation. However, that transformation will take place only when our personal lives are transformed, when we trust God for the transformation, and when we realize that God most often uses human agency for transformation. When we look at positive transformation throughout history, we see that there was tremendous effort, energy, struggle, and opposition that accompanied it. However, positive transformation is always worth the effort. In this webinar, I share my personal transformation because transformation begins at this initial and intimate level. Then, I share the ways I see God transforming my research, classroom activities, and service to the university.
