Scripture
Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame; let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. . . . Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.
— Psalm 25:3, 6
Prayer
O God, as I worship you and rejoice in your salvation, I remember that there is great suffering in the world—millions of people in prisons and in hospital beds and asylums; multitudes suffering from disease, oppression, torture, and absolute poverty. Lord God, be with them! Lord Jesus, may your kingdom come! Help me this day to live so that others may experience your liberation, I pray. Amen.
