Description: The founder of Servant Leadership, Robert Greenleaf, said, “Many attempts to communicate are nullified by saying too much.” This thought provides the starting point for a discussion of the practical steps for servant leadership communication in our personal and professional lives. Chris Hamstra, a professor of communication at Davenport University, and Quentin Schultze, director of the Center for Servant Leadership Communication, offer insights from Greenleaf’s writings, including his seminal work Servant Leadership: A Journey into the Nature of Legitimate Power and Greatness. Participants are encouraged to offer their questions, ideas, and practical suggestions for being servant-oriented leaders.
