Presentation Title: Interfaith Communication in the Twenty-first Century

Date:  Tuesday, March 14     Time:   8-9:00 pm EST

Description: Popular and scholarly interest in interfaith dialogue is complex and increasingly ubiquitous. The need for successful interfaith communication has never been greater. Overt faith-infused politics in the United States is but a recent manifestation of century-old tensions ensconced in cultural and religious worldviews. Faith and belief systems are becoming the dominant means of organizing people into groups. How can communication scholarship contribute to the discussion? How can communication students be better prepared to communicate with the religious other?
