Media Generalist with an Emphasis on Practice
The Communication Department at the University of Dubuque invites applications for a full-time faculty position in communication, with an emphasis in media studies, beginning August 2017. We are a growing department looking for a collegial team member committed to preparing students to be engaged, excellent, and ethical communicators in the global 21st century. Primary responsibilities include teaching 24 credit hours per year, advising students, maintaining a scholarship agenda, and participating in the broader life of the University.
Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate in communication, experience working with a diverse student population, and online media/journalism production. Successful applications will have experience teaching courses in mass communication, cinema/film, media theory, social media, media production, media rhetoric, public speaking and other courses as needed.
