Father, thank you for your gift of communication. Please forgive me for ways I may have misused your gift, hurt others with my words, not listened in love, and not honored you with my communication. I ask for help from the Holy Spirit with my words so I can show your love to others with the words I speak. I ask for wisdom to pause before I speak and use my gift for you. As I read this book, please open my eyes and heart to ideas on ways I can improve my communication skills. Thank you for this opportunity to better understand this gift you have given me.
