Description: Unwrapping the Gift of Communication uses scripture to illustrate many basic communication principles taught in communication classrooms. This webinar will explain what inspired the writing of the book and how it is designed for both the academic classroom and general church audiences. For the classroom, Kevin will explain how to use the book in a faith-based communication studies classroom as a supplemental text incorporating the assignments and prompts provided in the book.

Presenter bio: Kevin T. Jones (PhD, Louisiana State University) is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication and Cinematic Arts at George Fox University. He has received numerous awards for teaching and for his scholarship. He has served as the president of several local and national professional organizations including the Religious Communication Association, the Northwest Communication Association, the Kentucky Communication Association, and the National Christian College Forensics Association. He is an avid cyclist and lives with his wife, Michelle, and their four children in Newberg, Oregon.
